The Team

Ed Falkman

Executive Chairman

An investor in Standard Gas and previous CEO of Waste Management International Plc, where he took turnover from $150m to $2 billion developing and managing projects in solid waste and energy in over 30 Countries; former non-executive director of Wheelabrator Technologies and of Wessex Water.

David Whitmarsh

Chief Executive

An investor in Standard Gas and founding partner in Whitmarsh Holt Young a property investment agency advising major property companies and institutions, as well as taking the lead in numerous property developments. He has been working in the waste to energy sector for many years.

Paul Quinn

Financial Director

Over 15 years’ experience in senior financial management positions and involved in the cleantech sector since 2008. Previously co-founder of a property developer in the UK, specialising in low cost defect free family housing using modern methods of construction.

Adrian Cooper

Chief Operating Officer

A founding investor in Standard Gas and founding Chief Executive of a number of development related companies since 1992. In 2007, he invested in the Clean-tech sector and more specifically in pyrolysis, and has been working in the waste to energy sector for many years.

Brian Reynolds


A founding investor in Standard Gas and co-founding shareholder/director of Resolution Property Plc, a blue chip company that successfully purchased and sold over £1.8 billion of property in the UK and Mainland Europe during his tenure.

Richard Jackson


Representative of Gauss Renewables, the licensing partner for the German market. Richard’s experience in investment banking and proprietary trading began over 18 years ago at JP Morgan trading Fixed Income derivatives, becoming a Managing Director in 2005. Initially investing in Standard Gas in 2015, he subsequently became a director of Gauss Renewables. Alongside developing Gauss’s plans for the SG technology in Germany, Richard has worked with the UK management on the realisation of the first SG Plant and the global marketing strategy.
